NATO Admits Missile Hit a Civilian Home in Tripoli; rebel leader to visit China
NATO has confirmed that an airstrike may have caused civilian loss of life during a raid on Tripoli, in which the Libyan government claimed 9 people were killed.
NATO spokeperson Mike Bracken,
"The intended target during last night's air strike in Tripoli was a military missile site. However, from our initial assessment of the facts it appears that one weapon did not strike the intended target due to a weapons systems failure. This technical favour may have caused a number of civilian casualties. NATO regrets the loss of innocent civilian lives and takes great care in conducting strikes against a regime determined to use violence against its own citizens."
Meanwhile, the Chinese Foreign Ministry says Chairman of the Libyan opposition National Transitional Council Mahmoud Jibril will pay a visit to China from Tuesday.

Syria has barred most international journalists, making it difficult to verify accounts from activists and officials.

It's part of the 110-billion-euro bailout program supplied by the EU and the IMF to keep Greece afloat in May last year.
